 tooth bleaching

The actual bleaching process has a very high success rate though like most things in life the more professional treatments will normally have the better results. If you would like to try the bleaching concept yourself then there are lots of over the counter products to choose from. There are special whitening toothpaste you could try or if you wanted something a little more professional then you could try the night guard system. Most treatments of this nature require that you either wear the guard for one or two hours per day in intervals or that you wear it throughout the night while you sleep. Wearing the guard though the night normally brings better results because you are providing the treatment over a longer more sustained period. The downside of this is that it may effect your sleep cycle. Wearing a plastic guard filled with gel that covers your top or bottom teeth is not the suitable preparation for a good nights sleep. This is one of the reasons people prefer the shorter more powerful gel that can be applied for one hour at a time. Teeth whitening under this condition could irritate the pulp or cause it to become sensitive. The quickest (and most expensive) form of teeth bleaching is with the use of the laser where you can visit the local dentist and be out within the hour with immediate positive results. The dentists ideally use argon laser that heats up the gel so it speeds up the bleaching compound. The bleaching gel typically contains up to 35% hydrogen peroxide equivalent. The whitening process works due to the action of carbamide peroxide. There is around 10% of this in the gel and when this comes into contact with water is forms crystals of hydrogen peroxide which acts as the bleaching agent that cleans the teeth.

Oral Health: The purpose of cleaning teeth is to remove plaque, which consists mostly of bacteria. Elephants' tusks are specialized incisors for digging food up and fighting. A knocked out teeth clinically termed as tooth avulsion, is a serious and wide spread problem.

Dentistry News: Prosthodontics (replacement of missing facial anatomy by prostheses such as dentures, bridges and the restoration of implants). During the Middle Ages and through the 19th century, dentistry was not a profession into itself, and often dental procedures were performed by barbers or general physicians.
